Mooloolaba’s New Mayes Canal Bridge Reaches Milestone

Federal Member for Fisher Andrew Wallace MP said the bridge formed a key part of the Mooloolaba Transport Corridor Upgrade, reducing the bottleneck at the existing Mayes Canal Bridge.

“This is about getting families home sooner and safer as well as improving access to Mooloolaba and its incredible small and family businesses,” Mr Wallace said.

“I was proud to secure funding to deliver this project for Fisher, which will benefit locals and visitors alike.

“Just as with our Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, the Coalition Federal Government was able to partner with council to build the infrastructure our rapidly growing community needs.”

Letter to the Minister – Sunshine Coast Olympic Venues

The Sunshine Coast is one of the fastest growing regions in the nation, with the population expected to grow from 350,000 to well over 500,000 by 2041. Irrespective of the 2032 Games, the Sunshine Coast – and my electorate of Fisher – needs essential infrastructure and sporting venues to meet the growing demands of our community. Proposed 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues for the Sunshine Coast include an upgraded 20,000-seat Sunshine Coast Stadium and a Sunshine Coast Indoor Sports Centre at a venue to be determined in conjunction with State and Local Governments.

Fisher MP Calls Out Labor State Government for Spin and Spam on Rail

Andrew Wallace CAMCOS

Just like their budget of smoke and mirrors, it’s all spin and no substance with this Labor State Government’s infrastructure agenda. As we say in the building industry, we need ‘less chat chat and more tap tap’ from Labor. With the window between now and the 2032 Games quickly diminishing, it’s time to put politics aside and get these projects funded and delivered in full.
