Which congested or unsafe local road do you want fixed?

Within the first two years of the Albanese Labor Government, $27.9 billion worth of infrastructure projects have been cancelled, cut and delayed. For locals, that includes the Mooloolah River Interchange, Caloundra Transport Corridor, and Bruce Highway.

Despite nearly a decade of promises, the State Labor Government has failed to address critically congested roads like Caloundra Road, Kawana Link Way, and Nicklin Way, which are entirely State Government responsibilities. At the same time, rail projects have either been stripped back and blown-out or unnecessarily delayed for several years.

Anyone who travels these stretches of road during peak hours knows that they are a commuter’s nightmare. Every week, we are wasting hours of worktime, family-time, and free-time thanks to the indifference of our State and Federal Governments.

The Albanese Labor Government is allowing the national road network to fall into disrepair. Major roads and intersections across the Sunshine Coast are becoming increasingly inefficient and unsafe, choked by inaction and incompetence.

I know that you understand as well as anyone. Every time you get in your car, you suffer the consequences of unaddressed congestion. That’s why I’m asking YOU to help me shine a light on the appalling condition of our local road network by taking part in my Fisher Traffic Congestion Survey.

Nominate a congested, unsafe or troubled local road, bridge or intersection today.

Let’s send the Albanese Labor Government a message to fix our roads.
