Each year, I’m honoured to partner with Australia Zoo to host the Sunshine Coast Veterans Day, a special morning dedicated to recognising the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our nation. This year, I’m delighted to welcome Hon. Michael McCormack MP, Shadow Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, as our special guest.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Glass House Mountains and surrounded by the unique wildlife of Australia Zoo, this annual event brings together veterans, their families, ex-service organisations and community support providers for a morning of connection, gratitude and fellowship. It is an opportunity to acknowledge those who have worn our nation’s uniform, reconnect with mates, access valuable support services and ensure our veterans know their community stands proudly beside them.

I’m pleased to invite veterans, their families and the wider community to join us for the 9th Annual Sunshine Coast Veterans Day.

Veterans and one guest will receive complimentary entry to Australia Zoo by presenting a Veteran Lapel Pin, White or Gold Veteran Card, or other official proof of service at the gate.

If your organisation provides services or support to veterans and their families and would like to host a stall at this year’s event, I encourage you to contact my office to register your interest. Stall numbers are limited.
