2025-26 Volunteer Grants | Expressions of Interest (Fisher)

Expressions of Interest are now open for the Australian Government’s 2025-26 Volunteer Grants Program across the electorate of Fisher.

Volunteer Grants are designed to support the vital work of local volunteers and strengthen community participation. Grants between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit organisations to assist with the costs of supporting their volunteers and delivering community activities.

Up to $66,665 in total funding is available across Fisher.

Two funding categories are available:

Category 1 | Communication and insurance support
Funding for the purchase of communication items and services or insurance, including equipment, software, connectivity and related costs that help volunteers stay safe, connected and effective.

Category 2 | Supporting priority community groups
Funding for items or services that support volunteering activities focused on priority groups, including:

  • First Nations people
  • Newly arrived migrants (within the last five years) who are not citizens
  • People with disability
  • Unemployed people volunteering to build pathways into employment
  • Veterans and Australian Defence Force members
  • Women experiencing or at risk of gender-based violence or isolation
  • Women facing discrimination or disadvantage in specific areas
  • Activities that eliminate racial discrimination and promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among communities

Please review the Volunteer Grant Guidelines and eligibility requirements before completing this Expression of Interest. You will need to identify which funding category you are applying under prior to submission.

Expressions of Interest close at 11:59pm, Monday 23 March 2026.

All submissions will be reviewed by an independent community panel. Eligible organisations will then be nominated and endorsed locally, with final eligibility, compliance checks and funding decisions made independently by the Department of Social Services.
