I’m pleased to invite local community groups across Fisher to put forward projects that will make a real difference in our community.
Through the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme, grants of $2,500 to $20,000 are available for small projects that deliver social benefits and bring people together.
Eligible projects include upgrades to clubhouses, halls and sports grounds, equipment for community facilities, defibrillators and first aid equipment, disability access, women’s and parent facilities, solar and energy-efficient upgrades, shade sails and native gardens, war memorials, and First Nations art and cultural spaces.
Up to $150,000 is available in Fisher, shared across a maximum of 20 projects. The total cost of each project cannot exceed $50,000.
Eligible organisations can receive up to 100% of eligible project costs. Local councils can receive up to 50% and must fund the rest in cash.
Projects must be completed by 31 March 2028. Projects that have already started, or have contracts in place, cannot be funded.
