WALLACE KICKS OFF ANNUAL TOUR DE FISHER AFTER A BIG YEAR FOR THE COAST

MEDIA RELEASE 1 December 2025

Federal Member for Fisher, Andrew Wallace MP, is back on the bike this week as he launches his annual Tour de Fisher, cycling across the electorate and hosting Listening Posts in communities from the Hinterland to the Coast.

Mr Wallace said the tour was one of the most important weeks in his calendar, especially after what has been a huge and demanding year for Fisher and for the nation.

“From cost of living pressures to major debates around national security, FOI reform, justice issues and infrastructure funding, it’s been an incredibly busy year,” Mr Wallace said. “But the most important part of my job is listening to the people I represent. Tour de Fisher is all about getting out on the road, meeting locals face to face and hearing exactly what matters to them.”

Over three days, Mr Wallace will cycle between more than a dozen locations, stopping to meet residents, gather feedback and discuss key issues affecting households and small businesses across the Coast.

“Fisher is a diverse electorate, almost 1200 square kilometres, and every community has its own priorities. Whether it’s local roads, access to healthcare, community safety, cost of living or mental health services, I want to hear directly from the people living these challenges every day,” Mr Wallace said.

Mr Wallace encouraged residents to drop by their nearest Listening Post.

“If you’ve got an idea, a concern or something you want fixed, this is your chance to tell me. These conversations genuinely shape the work I do back in Canberra.”

Tour times and locations are available at www.andrewwallacemp.com.au/tour, with updates provided on social media throughout the week. Please note, times are estimates. We endeavour to be on time but are always subject to the vagaries of road and traffic conditions and flat tyres.
